The Off-Grid Living Festival (founded in 2018) has quickly grown to become one of the best sustainability events in Australia. By maintaining a grassroots vibe and combining education and entertainment this is one amazing weekend in North-East Victoria.

Come along and be inspired by this huge array of unique exhibitors, talk stages, workshops and people from all walks of life who are passionate about sustainability and life off-grid!

The off-grid living festival enables and empowers people to take their energy needs into their own hands, transition to sustainable lifestyles and build self-sufficiency skills. They can meet industry experts (from many fields), discover hard-to-find and one-of-a-kind products, watch unique craft people at work, watch presentations, engage in talks and connect with like-minded friends.

This festival is for people who are just starting to think about sustainable living, those who are ready to take one step off the grid and off-grid enthusiasts alike. From luxury off-grid housing and vehicles through to minimalist survival skills, bush-crafts and tiny houses, you’ll see it all at the next Off-Grid Living Festival.

CONNECTING PAST AND PRESENT WITH A GLIMPSE INTO THE FUTURE . . . .

Off-grid living comes in many forms, some enjoy the idea of going back-to-basics, living the simple life and embracing traditional skills and crafts. Then there are those who are inspired by future technologies and are excited about converting their homes to be fully powered by the sun, and enjoy the freedom of having no link to municipal services. The Off-Grid Living Festival cover ALL aspects of off-grid living from sustainable living and self-sufficiency to renewable energy and electric vehicles.

The festival weekend offers a unique opportunity for attendees to meet interesting people and experts from a wide variety of off-grid areas – from the latest sustainable technology gurus, to the low impact traditional craftspeople and innovative farmers. Participants leave this festival feeling uplifted and inspired to make positive, sustainable changes in their own lives, with new skills, products, information and contacts to help.

Whether you’re someone who wants to sell everything you own and live in the bush, upgrade your house to solar, buy a farm and become self-sufficient, downscale to a low-impact lifestyle, learn new handcrafts and DIY skills, grow your own food, reconnect with nature, build your own natural home, quench your curiosity about off-grid living or simply have a fun day out with the whole family – there’s something at the festival for you.

Enjoy info, advice, exhibitors, talks, workshops, demonstrations, markets stalls, products, activities, food & entertainment and connect with a like-minded community who thrive off-grid.

Could you be more sustainable? Of course! We all could.

At the Off-Grid Living Festival we seek to inspire people to take new step towards becoming more sustainable each year. We don’t just talk about the problems at this event, we offer great solutions, and we make it fun and attainable to all.

The decision to go off-grid or live more sustainably might be for personal freedom, fun and adventure, a desire to live closer to nature, to reduce bills, or it might come from a deeper feeling of guilt about your impacts on the earth. Personally for me, it’s all of these things and more, and when I focus on the specific areas where I can improve and take one step at a time, I can feel the progress and be proud.

We invite you to come to next years festival with an intention. Think about which areas you’re going to focus on improving. How many steps can you take, and where are you willing to invest your time, money and efforts?
