ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO THE BATTERY REBATE
How to Save Thousands in 2025
Thinking about installing an off-grid solar system or expanding your existing setup?
Now’s the time! With the federal government's new $2.3 billion “Cheaper Home Batteries Program”, off-grid Aussie homes can access generous discounts on solar batteries. Our trusted partners at Commodore Australia are ready to help.
What’s the Deal?
On July 1st 2025, the Australian Federal Government is rolling out a scheme to subsidise households that embrace renewable energy. If you already have solar panels or are looking to go off-grid, you may be eligible for a 30% rebate - $372 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of usable battery storage.
On a typical 25kWh off-grid system, you could save up to $9,250!
GO OFF-GRID NOW!

Store more solar energy during the day and use it when you need it most. Energy storage at a fraction of the cost. Keep the lights on!

Equip your home with resilient, renewable energy. Cutting-edge batteries store clean, reliable energy. Off-grid solar is the future!

Combine rebates with existing incentives, such as the Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme (SRES), for further cost reductions.

WHO CAN REDEEM THE REBATE?

To apply for the battery rebate you must have roof top solar panels already installed, or have proof that you're getting them soon.

If you're connected to the grid and already have solar panels and battery storage, you can still apply for the rebate to add additional batteries to your system.

To qualify, off-grid homes must be more than 1km from a grid line or where the cost to connect your property to the grid exceeds $30k.
